Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine, thin needles into energy points on the body, in order to restore its natural energy balance. It has been proved that smokers who are given acupuncture treatment have less desire and motivation to smoke.

During acupuncture for smokers, needles can be inserted to areas that will affect energy flow to the mouth, lungs, and respiratory system, as well as to the parts of the brain that create cravings for tobacco smoke. Studies have repeatedly shown that people who receive acupuncture treatment are twice as likely to quit smoking than people who do not.

All our acupuncturists are members of the British Acupuncture Council (BAC).

The BAC is the largest body of professional acupuncturists in the UK and has strict membership requirements, Safe Practice guidelines, and Ethical Behaviour standards. The BAC interviews all acupuncturists before being admitted as a member.

Our service providers endeavour to help you give up smoking, but will also look at your whole body to see if you need treatment for any other problems.
